A presence within the Canadian cinematic landscape since 1971, the Festival du nouveau cinema incorporates the newest technologies of production and presentation into its programming, placing emphasis on promoting cinema d’auteur and digital production. Over the course of ten days, film, video, performance, multimedia work, interactive installations as well as other hybrid forms of artistic practice engendered by digital technologies converge at the event.
