city form: public space

Honk Kong Park is dramatically contained by the natural and artificial topography that surrounds it, and is also a sort of blending of the two. Built on the former location of the Victoria Barracks, the park recreates and even partially reinvents a lost ecosystem within heavily urbanized Hong Kong. One of the park’s outstanding features is a walk-through aviary, where birds fly ‘freely’ about in a giant netted tropical forest. Birds are popular in Hong Kong—many other parks also have aviaries.http://www.lcsd.gov.hk/en/ls_park.phpshapeimage_8_link_0
